Kinda hoping this FA nonsense makes weasyl more active. As much as I like it here, it can be soooo quiet :U

SAME. A lotta folks take issue with the tagging and ratings systems, which is understandable. Compared to all the hot garbage that takes place on FA though I'll take it, lol.

Def. Idk what it is about FA though, people are just so much more responsive there than just about anywhere else I frequent. This place has way less drama, but I dunno how much of that is just the silence, hah

People don't like change, they'll stay on FA until its reduced to an utterly unsalvagable pile of charred server ash. I'm sure Weasyl'd be innundated with more drama if it had more traffic, yeah, lol.

I think the people who comment on things the most tend to be the non-artists (because artists are too busy making art and maintaining galleries or something lol?), and it's the non-artists that don't want to move. Artists will often have multiple galleries, and will also follow a client-base if need be, but clients often won't follow an artist to a new site, which is why new sites don't get the traffic FA does...because these clients don't deem it necessary to move (but when an artist moves--even if said artist has half a dozen alternate options--there are always a bunch of non-artist users will complain!)

That seems like a pretty fair assessment. This place insofar feels far more artist-heavy than watcher-heavy, unlike FA.
