Furry Network? by Nevask
Anyone use it? Is it used more than weasyl? Been slowly seeing more people talk about it, is it user friendly? Any and all input is greatly appreciated!
The less I have to use FA the better, so if it's a good place to be, I'd love to know.

I know BD has its own issues, but how does that make the site not so great? I'm just curious, the site is very new to me and I don't know much about it.

It's not particularly that the site itself is not great, but rather not supporting a site associated with these other sites or issues, in the same line of thinking as Chik-Fil-A may have great chicken, but the views of the business may mean someone may not want to eat there, even if they do have the best chicken, because they don't want to support a business with those views.
The site itself may be great, the owners don't mean that it's going to be terrible, but rather you may not want to support the site as it does indirectly support the other sites run by those same owners.
My comment here is entirely without judgement. I know people get touchy about such things with people, but simply commenting in case that sort of thing would turn you off from the site, as not everyone knows this information (I personally didn't know about the Herpy.net thing and that's what stopped me from signing up to FN.) I know a lot of people are looking to see what the best site for them is, and personally I think the more someone knows about anything they're interested in the better.
So it's less "the site is not good" and more "Here's some info, in case this would make you uncomfortable, so you don't get surprised later as some have"

From my understanding it is a forum based, reptile focused site for individuals interested in bestiality and zoophilia with reptiles. Along the lines of the BD owners having very questionable connection with bestiality as part of the BD baggage.

Are these the issues you were talking about?
If they are they are really minor compared to the issues that plagues FA, so what if people have "questionable" connections with bestiality, my take is purely long as no one is harmed, animal and human alike, lets be completely honest, a lot of furrys have a "questionable" connection to bestiality when they enjoy art that either features sexual acts with animals or includes sexual art of anthros with animalstic bits.

I can understand the art part, but actually taking it to real life, just nooooooo. Why do people think this is ok, so much no. I know first hand how f'd up FA is, but this is a whole new level of messed up. How disappointing. :(

Well I can actually understand part of the argument, regarding male animals anyway, but with female animals I don't quite understand.
But with male animals they usually are able to show they are sexually interested, you know the whole dog humping your leg thing, while I personally would never engage in sexual acts with an animal just like with any kind of kink someone is into it and they have their own reasons for it.

Incoming mini rant. I have to semi agree with you, while we would/should never sexually assault an animal, there never should be an actual reason to fuck a real animal, EVER.
Ya, but an animal can't consent. They can't tell you yes or no. I've only ever seen juvenile animals including females, on a frequent basis hump legs, ect, because they literally have no control over their hormone levels which have yet to balance out. Taking advantage of an animal regardless of their age is disgustingly wrong. No human should fuck an animal, no if ands or buts, it is wrong on all accounts.

I agree, it does seem more like taking advantage to me, and of course an animal can't consent, at least in a way that human's can understand or be assured that the animal is consenting, it's largely more to do with the inability to communicate between animals and humans, but I realize not everyone sees it that way, my stance is based on that, long as they love their animal and treat them right (providing food, shelter, and plenty of non sexual attention) I can't complain too much, while I may not agree with having sex with animals least they are not abusing the animal by beating or neglecting it and we have far too many people that do that anyway.
Either way regardless of a person's stance it's hard to prove consent in any case, animals can't talk to humans so we can't know if an animal has given or hasn't given consent, I would instead judge it by the behavior of the animal, animals have good body language that humans can understand, but I digress people will do what they will do and it's really up for the courts to decide until there is a way to better communicate with animals and end the debate one way or the other.

This this this, so much this. At least you can see that it's beyond wrong, and I'm sure the court system does too. It just baffles me as to why people take it beyond art. There should never be a reason or thought that having sex with a real animal is ok, because it isn't and never should be.

I think the reason people take it beyond art is actually rather easily explained in a few ways.
First off is the simplest, people love animals and that love is expressed in different ways, with people like you or I we love animals in completely non sexual ways, but not everyone does express their love in non sexual ways.
Secondly is a bit more complex and more of a selfish nature, because people are aroused by it, it's a kink, much in the same way that some people enjoy... some rather questionable things, not to kink shame here, but things like scat and water sports come to mind, there are people who find it disgusting and people who enjoy it and find sexual gratification from it.
Thirdly is because there is always a percentage of the population that takes things too far, things like social justice for example, people take it too far sometimes for their own selfish reasons even if they do it with good intentions.

I don't know about the site. I personally have been hesitant to use it due to it's association with owners, who own Bad Dragon and Herpy.net a reptile bestiality site.
I've heard it's got a lot of nice features and does seem to be a big talking point lately, but that owner info was a big shock to me.
