Video Game Talk

The new Doom game is pretty good, but I worry that it's obsession over hidden collectibles detracts from the action itself. You could be in a frantic, ammo-filled game of leapfrog with a Hell Knight and then spend the next twenty minutes fumbling around because you just KNOW there is something hidden around you somewhere...

That feeling, however, is on me as well since I tend to try and find everything the first time through so I don't have to replay a game. Collectibles aside, the game is quick and fun, but skip the multiplayer unless you're trophy/achievement hunting: It feels rushed somehow...like it had to be thrown in just to check a box, you know?

In other (very different) game news, I've been trying to get through more of the Witcher 3 before it's second story expansion drops later this month. Little difficult though since, me being me, I haven't even beaten the first DLC yet. Ah, such is the life of some dude who doesn't ration his time properly!

Black Ops 3 continues to spin around on my hard drive quite often these days. I'm getting worse at it, so to speak, due to time constraints and lack of practice, but I do fire it up when I have the time for a few quick Hardcore Team Deathmatch games. The newest Call Of Duty trailer didn't fill me with amazement either, so it's a good thing I have BO3 to "fall back" on.

Health Updates

Not that you asked (or probably even knew I had health issues!), but my surgery site is healing slowly but surely. Doctor thinks I may have to be out for longer before yanking dem stitches, which isn't good for my cash flow, but the time away from work nonsense will surely help me relax and heal up!

FA Is Apparently Down Again

I wasn't going to touch on this, but it appears to be a possibly big concern: Furaffinity supposedly got hacked again and it's rumored that user information may have been leaked. Don't bother checking the main site for info: It's just a warning about the possible leak of information and a non-existent estimate as to when it may be back with security improvements. It's currently in "Read-Only" mode. Check the forums/twitter for more I guess? I don't know how to check that kind of stuff over there...I haven't been active on FA in quite some time.

Not bragging about my lack of using that site or trying to rub it in: If your information got yanked, that sucks and I hope they get the thing running again soon.
