I guess.. Hi for a bit? by StormyChang
so it's making the rounds that fa is down again. but no, i am not coming back to this site any more than usual. i might post up a couple recent things cause i'm bored, but that's about it. after some incidents with whiny, immature 'authority' here i'm just not comfortable and the ease of use just isn't really there anyway. and coupled with the fact that very few people followed me over here from other sites when i first came so there's not a whole lot of socializing for me here.
i'll probably just go back to being silent once fa is back unless something happens to make me hang out here a little bit more.

it's more about socializing, making friends, having a place that's comfy and fun to be at. and that just never happened for me here.-
I wish I could be active all the time, but sadly, life outside of the internet frequently calls on me :<
But yeah, I am definitely around here a lot and I try and comment and socialize as much as I can for that reason. I really want weasyl to grow ;o;
I totally get the need to want to make friends and what have you. It's definitely hard to do when there are a lot less people around than you are used to.

i wanted it to grow more for a time, but the whole issue with the admin or whoever was just.. bleh. even though your average user is pretty cool.-
What exactly happened, if you don't mind my asking?

it's just their rating system is really messed up and vague (or it was at the time i got yelled at). and the rating of a pic got changed to something more explicit sounding because the corner of an areola was showing on an otherwise clothed character. and i asked why so i would have clarification as to the thought process and so i wouldn't make the mistake again. but they got uppity and condescending.
so i just figured if the team here was gonna be like the fa team, why bother moving over and trying to help things grow. shrug-
Yeah, I guess that would rub me the wrong way too. To be perfectly honest, ratings here have always been a big complaint of people (I even made a forum post about it) but I think what the true issue is most of the time, though not in your case it seems, is that people don't bother going over the ratings guidelines and just post it like they do on other sites.

Relevant! So weasyl just opened up a forum for ratings discussion! I'm hoping it can help get things cleared up for all parties and stop being a major reason for driving the active people away. ^^ Not sure if you saw, so wanted to mention it :3

i saw it. but i'm just going to ignore it. people have been crying for a change since this whole thing started and only now the admins are getting a hair up their ass to change it. maybe i'm just jaded from fa, but i don't believe there will be any changes.
