Even though you're welcoming all input, it isn't something that I'm really comfortable doing as a fellow creator. I think it all boils down to your personal views balancing your creative freedoms, and how much you are willing to change or give up, whether money is involved or not. In the past, I've run into way too many people with a sense of entitlement that was much larger than their sense of fairness in what an artist should be paid for their time. That has put a distinct bias on my part against giving non-paying customers (if there is such a thing) an input on your output.

Fair enough. The reason i have given this an open view is because many of my fans fave/reblog my work and in that way, help me to create more work. Not everyone can afford a commission and that is fair. I am not asking for price input and people aren't required to answer the polls. I am just trying to get general feedback on "if a person was able to, what would they like to see". It doesn't mean i am bound to whatever the polls say, it is simply a means for me to get a grasp on what my fans are interested in. It really isn't any different then paying attention to the trends of the digital age. This is just answering specific questions versus seeing broad trends happening right now. (I already have done a bunch of research on what the current trends seem to be for this kind of system but my fans, imo, deserve the chance to let me know what they'd like. They are the reason i am able to create full time, weather they are often purchasing from me, occasionally do, or have yet to. ) I work for myself and know what i want to do and how i need to plan accordingly to still be able to create and afford living. I am not giving anything up in asking for feedback nor changing how my patreon is run solely based on that feedback. Small details are easily tweaked and i dont mind catering to my clients/fans interests. In the past, my fans input has helped me greatly, no matter the few who may complain about prices or patreon in general and even those who have other opinions that may be rude or based in assumption, its still data and is good for analysis either way.

All data is good data. I dont just look for positive answers. Negative feedback is needed to have a broader sense of your work and makes you think about things you may not have thought about before. (Its why i occasionally put up journals asking broader questions with open feedback instead of clear cut poll questions that dont allow comments.) It is also not hard for me to place input based in ignorance in a "with a grain of salt, i still need to make a living" pile but some of the people who complain about prices or what platform i use, sometimes still have other good points in their feedback. Though other then people who comment on these journal posts, the poll data is clear cut. I expect people to be biased in some way. I -am- asking for their preferences after all. XD

Also it depends on what the consumer wants from the creator. That alone isn't entitlement but rather how all business's run.

Some people want commissions others might like art packs or themes. It's the artist responsibility to pick whom they cater to and by no means can they cater to everyone.

Even further some like to have reposting rights with due credit other might not care. Just make sure that everything is clear to avoid any potential misunderstanding.
