I wish this site were more popular :( by Dr. Virus
It's such a lovely site, I really like the design. It feels bright and clean cut and sleek. I much prefer linking people to my gallery here than on FA, and nothing on this earth will ever convince me to post artwork to Tumblr ever again.
I just hope Weasyl doesn't collapse and disappear, I would be astronomically sad.

Same. I want this to be as successful as FA but I think it's going to be like the VHS and the Betamax--the superior product, quality-wise, will not ever be as popular and widespread.
As for why you want post to Tumblr again, why? What happened there?

It'll take FA literally combusting into a pile of ashes before any other site gains popularity :(
I don't like Tumblr's shitty policy of "once you post it, we basically own it." You can never take anything down, and you can't do diddly squat against people leaving gross comments. Some people might be cool with that because "it's the internet", but I like to have some control of where my content goes. It's not for me.

Someone told me FA had once been down for 3 months years ago, and despite that when it was back up, everyone went back to it. :I

I don't know. I heard the story from fiztheancient and it was pretty long ago. I know the site has had long downtimes before that have not managed to kill it. I just have this morbid curiosity like I think it'd be incredibly interesting if FA went away forever somehow.

Honestly I was probably around for it myself but the site goes down so frequently it's all been jumbled up in my memory. I dont live on the site 24/7 so it's just like "Oh FA's down again, yawn" lol
