This past weekend was my first time tabling at the STAPLE! Independent Media Expo here in Austin! I had attended the year prior just to see everything and hang out with friends, so I had an idea of what to expect, and the little local con did not disappoint. Staple! has such a great friendly atmosphere, and people seemed to really enjoy my comic, since it was my most popular item!

You might have seen me building my stable stand on my Twitter/Instagram/etc in preparation, and it came together really well. The only downside was that I wound up getting a sort of shadowy spot-- so I might have gotten missed a bit as a result. But for my first con of the year, it went really well, and I figured out a bunch of stuff to improve upon for my next con... which is this coming Friday, ho boy!

The real highlight of Staple!, though, was getting to see and hang out with such a wonderful community of artists-- people I shyly met last year had grown into fond friends in the intervening time, and seeing several of my social circles overlap and merge was just wonderful. There was so much great work to be seen, and I can't wait for next year.

I'm mostly taking today to rest-- but the next few days will see me preparing for this weekend's table at Texas Furry Fiesta in Dallas. I look forward to seeing some of you there!
