Yeah, I got back from Furry Fiesta finally yesterday... Here's the run down of the trip so far.

I left home around 6:30 AM Thursday, Feb. 21st, to try to beat the bad traffic of both Austin and Dallas. I would have been making good time if it wasn't for the fact that once near Austin my GPS went stupid and thought part of I-35 was blocked off, so not only did it make me go onto a feeder road for 5-6 miles, but it then redirected me onto a long toll road >.< I hate toll roads! I stopped by at my friend's place in Killeen to drop off some things for him. A 3 liter of Dr. Pepper, which his HEB, the Texas wide grocery store, didn't provide, but the one here did. I also dropped off a light up XBox 360 controller that didn't require batteries as it was a plug and play type. The same type I use to play emulators on my computer or test out my RPG with. I also dropped off some PS2 games of his, because I felt it was unsafe to have them with me at Dallas and I haven't been playing the games like I should as I've been too busy with the RPG and playing my emulators to really pay attention to his games as fun as they are... FYI, a few of the games were Metal Arms, Armored Core 2-3, and Nobunaga's Ambition. After playing some games with him to delay myself purposely, as my GPS was estimating I'd get there around 12:08 PM... Lunch time... Which means, BAD traffic. So I left like 4 hours later, mostly passing the time by playing Soul Caliber 4 on his XBox 360, which is a bit ironic as he is the type to hate fighting games while I love them. I so far only had to fuel up once in Seguin, which I'm not too far from, and got like half a tank, 10 gallons worth of gas. In Killeen I got like 6 gallons, which is a little over a quarter of a tank. Once I got to Dallas, it was around 4 PM. And sadly I ran into bad traffic anyway. A 12 min delay in Dallas and stretching out to just going into Addison, where the convention is. With a little more GPS stupidity, I eventually found my way to the hotel I was staying at, I picked up my room key and got everything I brought with me out of my mother's SUV and into the hotel room. Then I picked up my back pack and went to the hotel the convention was at. I wanted to see what all was set up yet and what has yet to be set up. Apparently they don't accommodate early arrivals D:

I went back to my hotel room and works on my RPG some and browsed around the net. Typical thing to do while you're bored and have nothing to do. At least I got to catch Big Bang Theory on the room's TV. I even ate the Lunchables I had with me to act as rations for the trip. Though, only one was left out of the two as I ate one at picnic area before getting to Dallas. After the show and a few more working on, then took a bath, and I finally went to sleep... At 11 in the morning D:

I finally woke up the next day at 4 PM and ate something before I went to the convention. Sadly the Dealer's Den was just closing, so I went and checked out the Artist Alley, where surprisingly I met the artist of Furcadia. After looking around some and talking to a few people there, I went over to the Gamer Gallery. They certainly changed the games that was playing from last year, and it seemed like they didn't know what to play since it was different each day :/ I played some Soul Caliber 5 for awhile until the Gamer Gallery seemed like it was about to close. I realized not only was I hungry, but my rations, the lunchables and the two 1.5 liters of soda I brought with me were all gone! So, I had to set out and find more rations or I'd starve during the whole convention... I checked my GPS and found that though sadly Dallas and Addison has no HEB in sight... it had the next best thing for groceries. A Wal-Mart. So I drove over there, got a 2 liter bottle of soda for something to drink, a loaf of bread and some crunchy peanut butter to ration on, and some Cheez-Its and Nutter Butters for snack materials. I even got something to eat for the day. A full length sub sandwich from Wal-Mart's deli, even came with mustard :3 I also got a pack of plastic knives for the peanut butter sandwiches. So I ate half of the sub sandwich as soon as I got back to my hotel room and put the remaining half in the mini-fridge they had hidden in the room. So I went to the Corral and hanged out there for awhile, working on my RPG, then deciding to play a game I haven't in awhile. I hooked up my XBox 360 controller (yet I have no XBox :p ) and ran MAME, the arcade emulator program. What did I play? The old Battletoads arcade game :p If you haven't played it, you're missing out. Naturally Battletoads has always been a bit cartoony ever since their release on the NES, but the arcade rather pushed the envelop. How so? You can knock a rat's head off while a trail of blood follows, you occasionally come across a rat... still using the toilet! And biggest push... There's giant rats in the game that you can grab by the balls as you beat them up. As I said before... Pushes the envelop. Either way, it's a very fun game. And that continue sucking up hover bike level is at least no where to be seen :D The music was playing a bit loudly because it caught the attention of one of the con goers and so he was watching me play :p He would've joined in if I had another XBox controller, which I don't :/ Maybe I'll get one before next year's Furry Fiesta. After playing a few more arcades I have the ROMs to, I decided to call it a night. I went back to my hotel room, trained a little on RuneScape before going to bed :p Though, went to bed at 6 AM :/ So I set an alarm to wake me up at noon.

After waking up I managed to eat some peanut butter sandwiches and wash it down with some of the soda I had bought earlier :3 Then I made my way to the Dealer's Den and managed to get there with a few hours to spare :D So I got to say hi to a few people there, including wolfkidd, pmoss, DAQ, portzebie, sashadarkcloud, and luna-starbright, even sinuke, who I met for the first time there. :3 Some of them I've spoken with last year and others I finally said hi to this year! After the Dealer's Den had like a hour left to close, I went ahead and headed back to my room for some noms :3 Then I headed over to the Gamer Gallery again. The games changed from what it was the day before D: Playing on the XBox that Soul Caliber 5 was Marvel VS Capcom 3 instead. I decided to try it, but found out that Capcom royally fucked it up :/ What was a LP-MP-HP-LK-MK-HK system was so royally screwed up that I can't say anything good about it other than the graphics... Now it's a L-attack, M-attack, H-attack, and special set up and really... What the hell is that?! It makes the game harder to play, and in my opinion, more unbearable as they ruined a long series game that worked so well for so long :/ After someone that clearly knew the game better than me while I was still learning the new set up beat me several times, I decided to give up on the ungodly game. Talk about being unfair to a player new to the game -_- I really hate people like that. If you know the game so well, don't stroke your ego by not allowing the person new to it to learn anything by killing them relentlessly. It's unfair and stupid :/ I went ahead and left the Gallery for the Corral. At least I can do something productive with my work >.< To my surprise, wolfkidd was there catching up on some of his commissions. I said hi to him and let him get back to work :p I worked more on my RPG again, trying to catch up from the set back before the convention. Then I decided with a few floors of the RPG caught up, I kept watch of the clock, though, because it was Saturday, and Saturday's anime night to me! After the animes (ended at 2:30 AM) I went back to the Corral for a bit. I worked more on the RPG for a little while, then I decided it was time for more emulator playing. I didn't go for the arcade one this time. Instead I opened my Super Nintendo emulator and played some Super Castlevania 4. Oddly enough, people didn't start notice me playing the emulator until I decided to switch over to continue progress on Secret of Mana. Man, do I love the Mana series :3 After a bit of gaming, I went back to my room and after more RuneScape training, I went to bed.

And finally it was day three of the convention. I got up around 11 AM this time I headed over back to the Dealer's Den and check on how all the artists were doing. Even found one of Michelle Light's bookmarks had fallen off the table and picked it up for her. Some people there were not selling as much as they'd like while others had so many commissions, they actually had to catch up on it all. I went ahead and went to the Gamer Gallery despite the rudeness of some players there :/ Luckily I found a game I excelled at. Tekken! Not only was it Tekken, it was Tekken Tag Tournament 2. So not only did I get a few challengers and won, but when it came to playing solo, I beat it three times, even unlocking some endings that weren't yet unlocked on there :D The Gamer Gallery closed early, so I went back to the Dealer's Den and talked with some more of the artists until the Dealer's Den was closing up. So I helped some of the artists pack up their stations a little, then headed off to the Corral. To my surprise, the Corral was really full o.o; Only seats open at the time was at the bar. So I sat at a table with a high stool until a table opened up. Sadly with no access to a power outlet, I couldn't work more on my RPG right away. So I got out my plastic clipboard, that's really falling apart D: And sketched up something of my Sith Assassin, Dela-Gre, since the next game project after the completion of the RPG is a beat-em-up Star Wars game, Tales of the Darkside, which will feature my characters as well as gspanovich's. After awhile I started to daze out... almost fell asleep right at the table, and even though I had gotten my rations from my hotel room after the Dealer's Den closed up and ate some, seems like I was still tired :/ Eventually one of the tables near the outlets freed up, so I moved over there and started working on my RPG again. While I was working on it, portzebie, pmoss, and luna-starbright showed up in the Corral. I helped P.Moss get her drawing lamp plugged in and helped with moving some of the stacked chairs out of the way. Though, I had to deal with a particularly heavy stack, so I pushed from near the bottom and had to dig in my feet to get it to move. Was a bit awkward as pushing it like that, while I was getting it to move, I could have scrapped my beard against the floor while pushing :/ After getting it out of the way I joined the three at the table. A little later sashadarkcloud joined us, then a few more moments later, DAQ finally joined us :p We all worked on our own things. Shame I wasn't back on my art yet :/ Anyway, after some more working on the RPG, I had to call it a night early. Why? I was leaving Dallas really early...

I dread trips that are long and has a possiblity of bad traffic :/ But I set the room's clock to alarm at 5 AM. Leaving early means I can avoid the bad traffic. I eventually woke up well before the alarm :/ It was 2 AM when I woke up. So I laid there in bed, trying to get more rest until the alarm went off. When it was close to 4 AM, I decided to screw it and get up and ready. I put everything into the SUV and made sure I didn't forget anything, then I went ahead and checked out of the hotel. It had started raining while I was packing things up into the SUV D: I got like 5 gallons of gas at a station down the road, then I went ahead and started heading out from Addison. While I was turning at a light near the gas station I started to hydroplane some. I took my foot off the gas and kept steering where I meant to. The deceleration allowed the tires to grip the road again and I was on my way in less than a minute of the hydroplane. I managed to make it all the way back to Killeen with hardly any problems other than encountering the occasional speeder. Typical :/ I stayed a few hours and was going to do a night drive through Austin since traffic's almost non-existant then. But my mother called and informed me that I should stay in Killeen for the night as the wind storms were getting really bad. And I have to agree. The wind in Killeen alone was like the mime bit of walking against the wind, but with actual wind! It could move a full dumpster down the street no problem! So mostly me and Drako Sacar Deathbringer (my friend's name he choose after I got him into furries for awhile) just spent a lot of the night playing Fable 3 co-op until 3 AM. Sadly I was coughing the entire time I was there at his house :/ I think it had to do with the fact that he smoked...

Then we slept past noon D: It was 1 PM when I got myself up. His place it cold to me and I have a big cold intolerance. So we played more Fable 3. After a bit we played some Magic the Gathering to test a new deck of his. His new Angel deck against my Orochi clan deck. I had a bad draw that game and so it was a loss for my Orochis. After that I started packing up and with an hour left until I went on my way home, we watched some anime episodes I introduced him to the night before... Soul Eater. We watched two episodes, and then I went ahead and said it was time to go. With all my stuff in the vehicle already I just went on my way. Thankfully I got more gas at the HEB in Killeen the previous day, so I had enough to make it home no problem. I encountered some traffic delay in Austin :/ UGH D: It was at first estimated to be a 1 min delay, but jacked up to 23 mins... I took a detour around the jam and got out of there. Once I finally got home, I noticed I was a bit tired... It was 8 PM when I got home, too. So I watched some TV and went to bed.

And today... I woke up feeling horrible... Turns out I was coughing up mucus now, my head was throbbing, my back was aching, I felt colder than normal, and I was dizzy and groggy... Seems I caught the flu from the convention and it didn't hit me until just today D: I'm recovering slowly. I already feel somewhat better than earlier... But still recovering and still coughing >.< Anyway! I took some pictures from TFF2013, so if you want to see them, go here! http://clawmackain.tumblr.com/post/44188148248/pictures-from-furry-fiesta-2013-first-picture
