Last night, at 1:30 AM, there was a 7.1 earthquake that rocked my house. I did what I did best during situations like this, and stood underneath a door frame until the shaking stopped.

I was scared, yes, even though earthquakes are common where I live. However, I wasn't as scared as I thought, since I kept my family company that following day before it happened.

After a while, after cleaning up one big fat mess inside my house and calming down my dog and two cats, weariness overcame me, as I drifted back to sleep. After a while, I thought I was having a nightmare, a bad dream. But seriously, this actually did happen. This was probably THE strongest earthquake I felt in 33 years of my life. And that's saying a lot.
