It's a work-in-progress, so expect changes whenever I decide to actually make them:

Knight Background
Knights have had one dark time in their history: the continent of Fortia suffered an attack by a large band of pirates years ago. During the events, many knights were captured, bound, and thrown into the ocean to drown. The pirate leader remarked that the knights' outer shell resemble that of lobsters, and that crustaceans should belong in the ocean. Humans came to the knights' aid, and together they defeated the merciless band. The current leaders of Fortia are King Frederick Adamas and Queen Velda Adamas. The leaders of the human army, surname Belenus, went down in history as heroes for the Knights, and to this day, their great, great grandchildren serve for Fortia as royal guards. Because of the events, it is racially offensive to call a Knight a crustacean.

Relations and Status
Talix is the son of Sten and Adelaide Ferro. His parents are nobles are rather close to King Frederick and Queen Velda Adamas of Fortia. This of course makes Talix a noble son, however he does not like being called so and always felt suffocated by the way his parents have raised him. Talix is close friends with Percival Belenus and Luca Belenus son and daughter of the current Belenus royalty, and also became "friends" with an orc boy from the lower quarters, Rhodiin Gohta, who often bullied and tricked him. Despite their frequent fighting, Talix still found him a lot more interesting than other noble kids.

The Tragedy
One day, Rhodiin told Talix about a haunted graveyard by a mountainside, a few days walk east of the capital, and asked if he wanted to check it out. Talix, being the adventurous young lad that he is agreed and thought it would prove the perfect opportunity to prank him. They packed whatever necessary and snuck out the front gates at night, but not before Percival and Luca caught them. Percival had overheard their plan and packed as well, he wasn't letting Talix go alone. Considering Percival was a child gifted with rapier swordplay, and Luca was just learning magic and could cast light for them, they agreed to bring them along. After a couple days hike, they made it to their destination; it was indeed as eerie as Rhodiin described it to be. They explored around, joking and playing pranks along the way, when they stumbled upon a nearby cave at the base of the mountain. They made their way inside, and as they got deeper, Luca wanted to head back. As they bickered about what to do, they became surrounded by figures; skeletons. They tried their best to fight them off, though there was not much they could do as mere children. The signal was made to retreat, but Talix and Luca were caught and pinned. Talix was mauled before Rhodiin could get to him and had to support him. Meanwhile, Percival was fighting his hardest to save his younger sister. She managed to escape and began to flee, but Percival was then swarmed. They ran. Guilt in tow.

The Resolve
The king, the queen, and Percival's parents were stricken with grief. Talix's parents were furious at him as he took the blame for coming up with the plan. He made a vow that he would go back to that cavern once he was of age, and practiced swordplay of his own, however Luca was too devastated to go back, and Rhodiin was nowhere to be seen. Once he was 20, he ventured back to the graveyard alone, the guilt he felt years ago coming back to him. And before he knew it, everything went hazy.

Talix Now
Talix had wandered about the continent, eventually taking a ship to others. He began work as a blacksmith apprentice under the instruction of a Dwarf named Eli, who became his mentor of sorts. He lives rather carefree, enjoying reading books on magic and drinking at the local bar. He spends most of his time fulfilling town requests and practicing his swordsmanship. Everything is swell for him, though on occasion he would have awful nightmares. Skeletons. Cries for help. A sister. That could make a good story someday, he often thought to himself. Still, he always felt as though he was missing something.

What Has Happened
Talix was put under a spell that that is keeping his childhood memories suppressed by Percival himself with the amount of sanity he had left, as he is now a demon lord. Percival did not want to fight his friend nor have Talix know what has become of him. He sealed himself in the chamber deep in the caverns praying to the gods to put him to rest. However, he now lays there, dormant.
It is only a matter of time until Talix remembers what he had originally set out to do and regains his memories. Four years have passed since he set out.
His parents set out a search party for him and the cave, however Luca could not remember the location and the mountains suffered some landslides through the passing years. Talix is assumed to be dead.
