I'm finally home, thank you all for being so patient. I must take a little more time, however. I started to get sick on my birthday, and on the way home, not realizing I did not have strep but a cold, and now because of the flight, I have some plugged up sinuses, and ears that have not yet popped. My throat is still rather tender, and with this new ear problem that's developed, I'm going to need some more time to heal.
Two more days and then I should be back on my feet, hitting the ground running.... if I can ooze out of bed.
So for now, rest, liquids and lozenges.
Thank you for your patience! I'll be open for commissions soon!

PS-
for those of you that fly.... if you're feeling even the SLIGHTEST under the weather.... DO. NOT. FLY. It's not damaging (so far) however, it is the most excruciating feeling I've ever had to date. And I get pretty dang bad cramps.
I was squirming and sobbing. I could feel the nerves, someone online described it as someone jamming ice picks to your brain through your ears. No lies. It's true.
This is caused by mucked up sinuses. I didn't know I had blocked up sinuses. I could breathe fine, no runny nose or anything. This can be caused by a hidden sinus infection (my case) or ear infections.
If you are feeling a little cruddy, take a decongestant before the flight, and if the flight is long enough, another before landing. I don't want ANYONE to go through what I just did, it was AWFUL.
I had no idea. It had never happened to me before.
Definitely will be more careful next time.
for now, decongestants until I can hear properly again.
It literally feels like I have ear plugs deep into my ears. Pressure and all.

When I was younger, my rather small eustachian tubes caused that very phenomenon that you are describing on a translant flight. Boatloads of tea hot as you can stand it always seems to help me unplug, most "unplugging" type medicine barely works and just makes me sleepy. Hope you heal swiftly!
