Trent Gaudaen is Josh’s older brother and a great influence in his life; like his younger brother, Trent is polite, neat, even tempered, considerate. However, he possesses self-confidence that Josh does not share, and sometimes can come across as very intense…especially if he wants something.

Like Josh, his family life hasn’t always been the best of times for him. Coming out of the closet didn’t help his relations with his father and mother, and it wouldn’t be until after his mother’s death that he and his father would be on good speaking terms. In an attempt to keep the family together, Trent took care of Josh while his father worked more to make up for the loss of income, which strengthened the bond between him and his younger brother. When he met Burt, Trent had to juggle his time between a new boyfriend, his little brother, and college. On the outside, it seemed like the muscular giraffe handled it very well…
