While many Smeargle are satisfied just looking to their tails for their source of art, Floritt was born and raised to use her whole being as her means of expression. A good deal of this comes from the fact that Floritt's an orphan raised as the (then) only female daughter of a family of Fighting-types. Her family has been one of her greatest inspirations in terms of self-expression, with her brother and best friend Hakim (a Hitmontop) being the biggest one of all thanks to his graceful, Capoeira-like style and his sense of humor. And while Floritt's dream to be as good a fighter as the rest of her family is somewhat marred by the fact that she's a Normal-type, she's willing to keep on trying her best for the sake of her art. Hopefully she'll find her means of doing so by signing up with the new school team, Team Crossroads.

As both one of the younger members of Team Crossroads and the Johto representative, Floritt has her work cut out for her. First off, her current training has been more Contest-oriented than anything else, meaning she has the bad habit of focusing more on making her moves look nice than on actually defeating her opponent, a fact that annoys the other members far too much. Because of that, she typically sides with Nigel the Gardevoir as the group's second supporter, distracting the competition with a mix of the Fighting-Type moves she's learned over the years (Rolling Kick an Rapid Spin, courtesy of her brother's teaching) and those she has Sketched into memory from past encounters or even fellow teammates (particularly Nigel's Protect, at the leader Meg's request). Floritt's the second-fastest member of the team and definitely the most spirited of the bunch, which makes her a valued member not just for her abilities, but also as the one teammate one can count on to keep the optimism level high - a much-needed element for making this team work.

Fun facts:

• Floritt is currently dating Rikmach's Elias, a Sneasel she helped a long time ago and is something of a friend of the family and so much more.

• As stated, Floritt is adopted. Her parents are her ma Fortaleza (Machamp) and her dad Marley (Hitmontop). Flo has done little research on her biological parents due to fear of finding out the why she was put up to adoption to begin with. That, and she's more than okay simply being part of the family she's in now.

• Floritt also has 4 siblings: The oldest, Hakim (early 20s, Hitmontop), the twins Ziggy and Bobby (12, both Tyrouges) and the latest addition to the family, Cedella (1, Machop). Up until "Cedi" arrived, Flo was the only girl in the family.

• Her entire family dances professionally (not counting those too young to dance professionally, of course). Mostly for charity events and the like. Aside from Capoeira, they also mix modern dances into their routine.

• Floritt's accent is...strange. Aside from the small Poke-Jamaican slang in her speech, she also grew up with a bit of a speech impediment, which has improved considerably thanks to her family having dedicated themselves to help tutor her, so it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be when she was younger.

• Floritt enjoys every type of art that allows her to express herself both with her body and her paint-tail. Her preferred means of painting on a canvas is having a room to herself with white paper covering the walls and floor and her going wild in there to the tune of her favorite music, which is mostly made up of reggae music and Latin beats.

• Ironically, Floritt hates her art classes, as she feels they're much too restrictive on the type of art she prefers, which is more emotional (and physical) rather than something with clear shapes and forms.

• She also loves bodypaint, both on herself and others. She will at times be a bit forward in asking someone if they can be her "canvas", though is perfectly understanding if that person says no. She's had a surprising amount of people say yes to her, though.

• Floritt's most prized bit of artwork, though, is not one she made herself. As is traditional for Smeargles, she had a footprint marked on her back when she came of age. As she was adopted, it was her foster family that went with the ritual, specifically her brother Hakim, who she looks up to. As such, her purple backprint is now that of a Hitmontop. She fancies wearing outfits that allow her to show off the backprint, though at times due to dress codes, she's unable to get away with this, which saddens her.

• Thanks to her family's teachings, Flo's philosophy for combat is an unusual one. Fighting isn't something just for violence, but a way to communicate one's whole self to another in ways words cannot express. As such, she gets sad and confused easily whenever people just use the art of combat for negative reasons.

• Floritt's favorite thing to eat/drink is "anything fruity and colorful". She doesn't drink alcohol, though, as she finds the taste gross. She also has a little bit of a sweet tooth, mostly for chocolate.

• To the surprise of no one, Floritt's favorite color is purple.
