BACK-STORY: (Seeing that she is an important charrie to me, please excuse the excessive text.)

Deepa comes from a lower middle class family back in the far north country (similar to Native America/First Nations) where she really struggled in school and didn't get along with the other kids. Her family running out of options to help her, turn to a very distant relative living far south, Slippie, Skipper's older sister. At first she was enraged and hurt thinking that her parents gave up on her and stopped loving her, she became very cold to others in her arrival especially to Addie who was like her opposite since she was well accepted by everyone. It took some time for Deepa to loosen up and calm down, when Addie finally managed to get her to open up, she explains her troubles back home and why she's miserable. After Addie explained to her of how it's not what it seemed and her parents actually loved her, she changed for the better and Deepa and Addie became best friends. She began to get better at home, school, life, etc. Even though Deepa has become a happier raccoon, she still has an adventurous and daring spirit... which seems to get her and anyone accompanying her into trouble.
