River Maddox is a very laidback guy. He enjoys being by himself but socializes easily, even if he'd be the quiet guy in the background compared to more robust and energetic types.

He loves music and takes good care of his prized possession- a phonograph he inherited from his late grandparents. He has a growing collection of records, ranging from classic oldies to game soundtracks; he's also a casual bassist. He is an only child; while his family is wealthy, he isn't spoiled in the least. He works hard (when he has a goal in mind) and respects others.

When he was just two years old, he created his first original song with his father's bass guitar. Mind you, it was only about half a minute long, but still!
His family is fairly wealthy, but they don't flaunt it. In fact, most of it is invested, some of it donated to charities. He and his family continue living frugally like everyone else; no need for fancy mansions or car collections.
He came out as gay when he was eleven years old. His family immediately accepted and supported it. His parents didn't seem overly concerned, as they had two other children that could provide them with grandchildren one day.
