Skunk Boy by LordDominic

Skunk Boy

LordDominic

Name:
Skunk Boy
Age:
Mid-20s
Gender:
Male
Height:
6'0"/183cm
Weight:
Approx. 330lbs/150kg
Species:
Human/Skunk Hybrid

A fairly basic refsheet for Dominic Mephitto, better known as Skunk Boy, that I made in 2018. Still holds up, although I may have overestimated his weight slightly (I'm terrible at that sort of thing, honestly).

At some point I need to learn to construct proper character refsheets, this one just includes the basics like his color palette and some basic character trivia, and would rely on linking to additional images to show him from other angles, in other outfits, etc.

So just to make sure, his tail is real, right? Just his snoot and ears are fake? Also the weight seems pretty accurate, given that height and his build. :3

Oh, yes, his tail is real. The snout and ears are costume pieces, since he figures coming across as a furry cosplayer is less awkward than being a Skunk Boy.

(He does also have a were-form I should do a refsheet for at some point, if that matters...)

Hehe, probably so too! I think it's awesome that he's a demi skunk. :3 Can you imagine having an actual tail like that? Could even be in a fursuit but then your tail is really your tail, and you can wag it and stuff. X3

Hey, I'm really glad you like him! I'm surprised when people have a positive response to him, since hybrid/kemonomimi characters seem to be frowned upon equally by furries and non-furries. Is "demi" an appropriate term for a hybrid like this, in case I need an alternative to the weebspeak? I do draw quite a few hybrids like him.

Oddly enough, I have thought about the potential to incorporate that tail into a fursuit or other, similar costume. That would be awesome.

            I think that "demi" is a term that can be used, I have a friend who has a human-wolf hybrid he calls a demi-wolf, but I'm not completely sure on the proper use of the term. xD;

I think it'd be pretty cool! Kinda like how KartFox is a foxtaur suiter who's actually a centaur under his taursuit. X3 https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19523641/

"Demi" does mean "half" or "smaller", so it's probably applicable here. I guess if it's not a terms that's commonly used for this, but I like it anyways, I can do so. I suppose I could also invent a term from scratch for characters in-universe to use, that's not necessarily a bad idea either...

I actually can't view anything in his gallery because of the ratings, since I don't have an account on FA. That's still a really cool concept, though! It seems pretty unique to have characters that are some sort of hybrid, or perhaps a centaur, that would use some of their physiology as part of a costume they're wearing.

That's sort of the idea with Skunk Boy. He's an outcast and a weirdo, and living primarily among humans having an animal feature stands out a bit, but if he incorporates his tail into a sort of cosplay the humans in his area will just think he's one of those weirdos that wears costume parts in public, a bit odd and awkward but harmless. This is probably preferable to a hybrid human/skunk who has a functional skunk butt that might ruin the furniture.

It's sort of strange to think he'd be in a position where he might be discriminated against for being a hybrid, in a world where anthropomorphic apes coexist with a variety of other anthropomorphic animal races and hybrids do exist and he was raised by his fully skunk mother, but I'm guessing the way school districts worked he went to school with mostly humans and that had something to do with it. Kids like to pick on those who are different, regardless of the reason.
