Details: Tess was born to two parents Nora and Mike Wilkerson and one older sister Diana Wilkerson. Her little sister Amy Wilkerson was born five-and-a-half years later. Mike Wilkerson was a workaholic while Nora was an alcoholic, so Tess and Amy had to live with older sister Diana at the ages of seven and one respectively. Those years with Diana were peaceful until Diana met Robert Shay. Robert, while not abusive, was quite rude towards the two girls. Despite Tess's and Amy's dismay, Robert impregnated Diana. Nine months later, while Diana was in labor, they both died in a car accident.

Tess likes social justice, feminism, equality, and Judy Blume. She doesn't like bigotry, ignorance, and people being rude.

Tess is a very helpful person. She always listens to the problem and tries to help solve it. If she can't solve it, there's no hope. This can make Tess high-strung and arrogant just because she thinks she knows what she's doing, which she sometimes does. She's also a very smart person and can think outside of the box. That is what makes people think that Tess is good at helping others.
