Details: Marilyn was born to meth-addicted mother Hwan Nari Cheong and former high school English teacher (now novelist) Timothy Cheong. While Timothy was a good father who raised Marilyn the best he could, Hwan Nari was physically and emotionally abusive not only to her daughter, but also to her husband. Timothy was a weak man, so it took him until Marilyn was about five or six for him to call the police on Hwan Nari and have her arrested for domestic abuse and possession of meth. She is currently doing thirty years in prison. Timothy and Marilyn moved to Portland, Oregon soon after about a year later.

Marilyn likes going to the movies, joking around with her friends, Ryan Creshaw (her crush), and her best friend Riley Wilson. She doesn't like getting annoyed or anyone mentioning her mother.

Marilyn is a bubbly social butterfly. She always has a shoulder to laugh or cry on. She is a natural flirt who is nice and pretty all the time. Some may say that she is stupid, and that's sort of true. She is a bit ditzy, but overall, she's a fun person to be around with.
