This is C.B. Pepo! Just a cat with a big bell collar. Sort of.
Pepo started out as my love for Halloween and horror, but over the years slowly became a single representation every nonsensical, troubling, repetitive thought that floats within my brain. Pepo can be a source of great ideas and inspiration, but is also (most of the time) the source of Alex's extreme agitation.
Pepo operates on cartoon logic. They are typically seen as a sexless black cat with human teeth, but can, without warning, warp into a rubber hose style monstrosity: stretching themselves into large shadows, seeping through grates or tiny openings like liquid, growing extra body parts, pulling objects/creatures out of their own mouth, or even talking to inanimate objects just to have said objects spontaneously grow a face and respond. When talking, they speak in three distinct voices at once that sound like a young girl, a middle aged man, and a distorted voice similar to static. Pepo's presence brings about a feeling of unease, and, if around them for too long, shadowy figures begin to flicker at the edge of one's vision. The light in the area will also grow noticeably dimmer.
