Personality: Despite being a social butterfly, Kal dislikes being the center of attention, commonly downplaying any achievements he has done. He'd also withhold information on his health to avoid attention. He can come off as awkward initially, especially when he can't see, as he doesn't like bumping into someone by mistake. Kal is overall a level headed optimist who's somewhat timid.

Kal was born shortly after Sonic Unleashed. Due to this, he was exposed to the Dark Gaia's energy much more compared to his family. As he grew older, he developed more nightmare-esque traits, like his eyes and limbs.
His family is naturally more exposed to the Dark Gaia as they act as its guardian, keeping its lair safe from harm. The location is only accessible to someone with geokinesis, so his family commonly has this ability. Kal's is weaker, and adding the excess exposure, he'll likely not be taking the role.
Nightmares are mostly docile unless they have excess energy or if the Dark Gaia is being harmed, which will cause them to be violent. They commonly accompany someone in the Toonela family.
