The short of it is that he's a scraggly youth who was adopted/raised by bandits and eventually kicked out for his use of blood magic. While various elemental spells are usually something a gryphon has to study and learn, Alaric is one of the few with an innate aptitude for one specific element. In his case it just happens to be salty red water inside of living things, and he fails to see the problem with that.

He's basically your typical hotheaded teenager, sensitive and easily frustrated and not as wise as he thinks. He often comes off as abrasive, but craves approval and companionship deep down. As he finds himself in Talewind's territory, Alaric's beginning to realize that the lone wolf life may not be for him after all. If only he can stop pissing everyone else off long enough to make a friend or two.

His colors are Cinereous Vulture-ish but he's not based on any particular bird/feline combination.
