Temperament: Very protective and arrogant. As the leader of a large herd of others of his species, and being aware just of the predators that lurk on the island, he is always watching and cautious. Although most of the herd consists of females due to genetic engineering, the few whose genders had changed and developed through the amphibian DNA within their genetics, he isn't afraid to compete with ownership of the herd. Being considered a veteran, he's labeled by the scientists as the only 'bull' Stegosaurus on Isla Nublar. In reaction to humans, he doesn't find them much of a threat due to the constant contact with them by visitors of the park, but he does have a tendency to become uneasy within the presence of Gyro-spheres or large crowds.

Appearance: Colors of scales range from pale ocher yellow, green, and black , with orange striations flecked through the dorsal plates. He has yellow eyes and his beak is darkened gold. He has a total of seventeen dorsal plates, the larges plates being 3 ft by 3 ft. One of the lateral spikes of the thagomiser, and one dorsal plate is missing and remembered by a large unsightly scar right above the shoulder. There are also many scars present from confrontations with predators and the few younger bull Stegos living on the island.

History: Being one of the first dinosaurs created for Jurassic Park, Brutus started out as a female. Once she had reached maturity with the others of her herd and there was a need to repopulate, she was the first whose chromosomes had changed with the amphibious adaptability. For the few years that Jurassic Park had gone unmanaged, the Stegosaurus population grew immensely to the size of an average elephant herd, full of specimens of all stages of life. The ratio had been estimated that for every 10 females, one of them evolved to become male.
When the dinosaurs on the island had been rounded up into containment, the scientists gave the leader the name of 'Brutus' for his immense size and hot temper. He was also studied closely for the changes in his body for sexual dimorphism between males and females. Fearing that the Stegosaurus herd would grow so immense that they would no longer have the ability to contain them, Brutus had undergone a procedure which left him unable to reproduce. Still leaving him the main bull of the herd, his dominance allows the maintenance of the current amount of dinosaurs within the herd.
In the tragedy of Jurassic World, when the Indominus Rex escaped and wrecked havoc on the island, half of the Stegosaurian herd had been obliterated, leaving nearly no hatchlings alive and many wounded adolescents. Brutus had fended the herd against the hybrid dinosaur, resulting in many injuries and one of his dorsal plates being ripped off. He survived from his injuries, and once the danger had ceased, he had migrated the herd to the northernmost plains of Isla Nublar, and despite having to keep mind of the usual predators, the herd had lived peacefully since.
