Avenging is one of the protectors of the Overnet or False Ground. When that demon lonely ran away from being the next guardian, Avenging followed him. However, the Real Ground has much heavier air than the False Ground, so Avenging is, more or less, stuck under the weight of air, which keeps him from moving from his spot on the cliff sides. He can, however, get up and attack, but he will immediately sit back down and look over the ocean. He can call out to lonely mentally, so Avenging is aware that lonely is out there. So, Avenging sits in one spot all day, calling out to lonely in the hopes he'll change his mind and return home.

Avenging doesn't really talk much and he'll actually attack first and never ask questions. His attacks seem to be energy based. His size seems to catch people off guard since very few Hierarchs reach his height. (Dev is actually four feet shorter than him and Dev is considered tall for a Hierarch since most top out at about 20-25 ft.)

It's unclear what would happen if lonely decided to go home, but there is a possibility that Avenging would just be stuck on a cliff for the rest of his long life.
