The Pumpkin King?
Mm, not quite. The Pumpkin Jester is a more apt nickname for this little critter. Spritely, mischievous and full of "pep and vinegar", the pups of the O'Lantern clan* are more likely to be found indulging in treats than tricks. This isn't to say that they can't be spooky (they can!), but their idea of a trick is popping out of a full candy bowl and shouting,"BOO!" at unsuspecting passersby.
They can be found nesting within carved pumpkins throughout the month of October. Favourite treats include anything in your trick-or-treat bag (except raisins. Blech. Who gives out raisins?), but especially full-size candy bars. They'll definitely be back to that house next year.
[*So named for their habit of absconding with carved pumpkins to preserve and use for dens. They are also commonly referred to as All Hallow's Skellingtons]
Thank you Crowley for this lovely adopt.
