Kali's Orca

To this day Mohan has remained a force to be revered among the Kali's orca population and the Bay of Bengal as a whole. He is the only known Kali's orca to travel in complete solitude. The first recorded sighting of Mohan was in 1980 where he was seen trailing behind a small pod of bottlenose dolphins but quickly evaded observers shortly after being spotted. It was his tall dorsal that initially caught the eye of the research team and he gravitated into the focus of public when accounts of locals tell of the orca seen pushing fishing boats and tearing nets. It is said he has a special connection with the Hindu goddess Kali and it is she who fuels his relentless rage. The leading expert on this particular orca is young marine biologist Shay Cardigan who has spent years researching Mohan and the orca's cultural and religious adaptations. Mohan has, overtime, come to ignore Mr. Cardigan as his boat trails him and usually silently slips away. Mr. Cardigan is the only researcher to have a small collection of underwater photos of Mohan.

So if you can't already tell I am head over heels in love with Mohan! I'd love to get some art of him in the future and am planning to open a few RP's to utilize him and explore more of his character. In my head the Kali's orca have a sort of religion of their own with their own gods that are just their interpretations of the Hindu gods. Mohan believes that it's his purpose to keep the balance of the Bay of Bengal or as their kind knows it "The Sea of the Blood Goddess" by ridding it of all "pestilence". It's a sort of pilgrimage of his own fueled by his natural ferocity and a subtle guilt he feels for betraying the god Lakshmana for killing (X59) - Aagman who was also a calf of (X50) - Durga. In comparison to my Antarctic orca pod featuring Tinga, Kshmek, and the others the Kali's orca have a vastly different culture and a deeper sense of spirituality and a complex religion. Deep down Mohan believes that solitude is his the only way to keep others of his kind safe from the wrath Kali inflicts through him. He's actually a rather lonely soul but he believes that his own suffering is well deserved.
