Nox is a Cygnus dragon, a rather fluffy species of dragon from my story, "Guilt."

A bit of a trouble maker, Nox tends to get his way. He's a stubborn little bastard, but also very loving to those that he's close to, particularly Roger. Nox hatched in Roger's hands and is, no matter how much trouble that he gives Roger, extremely loyal to him. When he's not napping in a warm spot, Nox enjoys nothing more than chasing anything smaller than himself and following Roger around, climbing onto his shoulder while still small enough to do so.

Nox, like all Cygni, eats a diet of fish as well as red meat. On the occasion, he also likes a good chunk of bread and cheese or some berries.

More info about my Cygni:

Hatched without wings, a Cygnus is but a little fuzzy scrap of a dragon, no longer than two feet from nose to tail tip. By the age of ten, wings finally sprouted, a Cygnus is approximately the size of a deer. By the age of twenty, they reach the size of an adult horse.

With a lifespan of about 210 years, Cygni are a friendly species that love damp climates, particularly the snow. Despite being smaller, females are generally more aggressive, possessing a sharp spur on the end of their tails. Most aggression exhibited by Cygni is generally defensive, however, as the species is very easygoing.

Cygni are often referred to as the dogs of the dragon world for their uncanny desire to cling to one person in their lives. Once a Cygnus has picked this friend to remain loyal to— regardless of species— they will protect and take care of them to the best of their abilities. Even if and when a Cygnus finds a mate and has chicks, the friend they have bonded to in life remains ever more important to them. Should this friend die, it is painstakingly difficult for the Cygnus to move on. Nearly always, they will cling to anyone that closely resembles the lost friend should this occur.

People that find themselves the apple of a Cygnus’ eye can expect to have a clingy nuisance by their side for years to come. This daunting task is made ever more difficult by the fact that Cygni can “share” any emotions which they feel with anyone close to them. A displeased Cygnus is a displeased household.

Nox and Cygnus dragons belong to me.

"Guilt" belongs to me.
