Backstory: Larimar was made in the kindergarten just like Cyrilovite and Cinnabar. At first they were like human children, having no idea how to function as Gems until Almandine coaxed them out of their shells and started teaching them. Larimar came out of her hole last, and to this day is still the most underdeveloped and childlike. Almandine taught them how to summon their weapons, but was surprised when it came to light that Larimar just didn't have a weapon. Almandine chalked this up to Larimar being "defective", based on the fact that her gem was not symmetrical with the rest of her body. Despite this, Almandine taught her and the others how to fight, and most importantly, about Homeworld. They learned of Blue Diamond, Pink Diamond, Yellow Diamond, and White Diamond, who Almandine spoke of very highly, completely oblivious to Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz's rebellion. The three never learned of fusion, though, as Homeworld looked down upon fusion, and Almandine wanted to stay as loyal to Homeworld as she could. They all get along well, and venerate Almandine the same way Homeworld does with the Diamonds. Larimar feels as if she shouldn't have been made sometimes, and doesn't know that she's actually not a defective gem at all.
