of my personal characters, jo is closest to my heart. her story goes something like this:

she relocated from the midwest united states to the deep south on a whim after her boyfriend passed away to "re-invent" herself. like a rolling stone by bob dylan is her favourite song - the lyrics "when you ain't got nothing, you ain't go nothing to lose" had always struck a chord with her, so when she lost everything important in her life, she threw caution to the wind and decided to follow her childhood dream of opening her own bakery.

as she expected, it was a total flop. until she was discovered by bubbly young binturong girl named maggie with a serious sweet tooth. lucky for jo, maggie knew just about everyone in town, and soon, thanks to her spreading the word, customers were flocking to her door to buy baked goods.

jolene has been, by far, my favourite character to develop - i'm still learning new things about her all the time. i definitely want to do something special with her later on, though i don't know exactly what yet.
