One of my main dolphin OCs. When she was still a calf, not even weaned yet, she somehow got separated from her mother and the rest of the herd just before the herd got killed by humans... Maybe in a drive hunt, and maybe Sky had already been wandering off a little, being curious about stuff, and then the humans came and that would be how Sky was separated.

Sky somehow avoided predators (definitely by pure luck) and was close to starving to death when she was found by a female bottlenose dolphin without any calf of her own, and probably having lost some family and friends the same way little Sky lost hers. The female bottlenose felt sorry for her and decided to start producing milk to feed her (because I've read that dolphins can do that), basically adopting her. Maybe this bottlenose is Nikko, who probably had a calf once, a few years ago, but it was eaten by a marine predator. Either that or this mother dolphin is Nikko's mother, or one unrelated to Nikko and Nikko just becomes Sky's friend. I'll have to think about that. But anyway, Sky learns to behave more like a bottlenose dolphin than a striped dolphin. And although these two dolphin species look similar, they actually behave quite differently. And I'm pretty sure they normally don't associate with each other...

This is just the beginning, tons more stuff happens... I'll write more another time, maybe when I actually decide on some more specific details instead of just "maybe either this happens or that happens or something completely different or nothing like any of those things at all"...
