Gender:

Height:

Species:
Ambaron (multi-armed lion)

Once upon a time, the demons came to conquer Tessera. The people fought back valiantly, but the effort was doomed - not even the strongest heroes or most powerful magicians could slow their advance. In desperation, the people begged the goddesses for help. They did, but not the way anyone was prepared for - they were evacuated, every last one of them, to an entirely new world. The people were scattered randomly and forced to fend for themselves, separated from their families and divorced from their history, and now they band together in groups to try to build a new way of life, but for many that new way of life is banditry and piracy. They may be safe from the demons in the New World, but who's going to save them from each other?

This is where August comes in. Born in the Old World kingdom of Ambaron, home to many-limbed felines like him, he was trained as an engineer and managed to take a small airship with him into the New World. Now he spends his time exploring along with a crew of adventurers, helping the settlements of the New World grow and flourish - moving cargo, exploring and taming the wilderness, and holding pirates at bay. It takes a lot of work to make civilization happen, but slowly and steady things are coming together, and August isn't the only one trying to lend a hand (or six).

August's personal craft is called the Silver Lining, a name that reflects his optimistic nature. It'll be the subject of a future post once I figure out its deck plan; it's not the biggest or fastest ship around, but it's almost indestructible and has a massive fuel capacity for its size - August thrives in places where anyone else would get lost.

Finally someone who can use all the handles on a ship's wheel.

That's really nice, new character! But I have one question, didn't the Ambaron have 4 arms?

Many do. Others have more, or multiple legs, or a mixture of both.

        Okay then, understood.
