Far out in the darkness of space, exists a void, only visible through the light of two yellow suns. This void is a living, dense nebulous gas that does not obey the normal laws of physics; from light years away, it is completely invisible, light passing through it completely. Its only goal is to grow, which it achieves through its own unique abilities and with great patience. This void is called the Corpus.

This Corpus needs to add to itself, to keep its mass growing, to have mass to feed off for its own powers -- and gaining worshipers as it does. It sends out various agents, made up of itself, to accomplish this. One of these many agents is Solus/Sola.

Solus/Sola (Sola the adopted name in its female form) is a shape-shifter that is made of similar stuff of the Corpus. She is able to shift from gas, liquid, and solid, and is able to emulate flesh and DNA. She is one of the many seeds sent by the Corpus for a very simple goal: To conquer a world. The seed finds entry either by taking advantage of a world's natural magical "force" (if it's a high-magic world) or through scientific experiments (if it is not) that open a portal to other dimensions or space. The seeds then would normally develop and grow, sometimes quite literally, as they soak in local energies. Eventually this would empower the seed to be able to unconsciously open a gateway to the Corpus, which then would take over the seed (wiping out its existing identity, most of the time), gains more power, and then takes the world for itself, eventually teleporting it within the body of the Corpus and having it join its own internal (yet still very small) galaxy.

Solus, however, developed differently as a seed. He is a form of test product, that though the Corpus has power over, still allows him his own identity. He then has the goal of acting and testing the worlds he's in (for he can change worlds, unlike other seeds), both as predator and prey; as weak and strong. Such strength or weakness is at the whim of the Corpus itself,and the Corpus' power always overrides Solus' own, restricting his shapeshifting as long as he's under its influence. Thus, he has many prey forms as well as predator forms.

Solus usually appears with black fur and golden eyes, and his default form is a wolf. The golden eyes will remain no matter his form, though fur color can be modified.

NOTE: Solus is but one of many agents, and any story of them is but one of many potential ones. The Corpus sends out many agents, and each of them must accumulate power over time. This creates many potential plot threads for differing stories. Some of the agents even learn to feel empathy and something other than the desire to ultimately conquer...
