Brekna is an excation from the city of Takahet on Kalem. Brekna was one of the first of their species to leave Kalem, traveling first to the human space station on the edge of excation space, known as the Tyber.

A great deal of the the unique biology of the excation was learned from the medical incidents that Brekna got into, such as the intolerance to sugar, their requirement for heat, and their other biological oddities.

Brekna has a friendly personality, if a bit clingy. They loved to meet new people and generally interact with others, and take rejection quite hard, like most of their species. Brekna is also a trained pilot, qualified to fly cargo and passenger loads of up to 100 tons.

Don't mention the fact they aren't breathing (excation respire passively, and only replace their internal oxygen store every few hours, and its rude to bring it up) and don't ask which gender they are at the moment, thats about as bad a faux par as you can manage. Do remember to bring extra food, excation like to
eat a lot of food.
