Well as you might have guessed, I got ahold of my gear not too long ago, and what better way to kick that off than a reference sheet~?!

I-I must admit, I've been rather inspired by some of fidchellvore's characters as of recently, and I felt that it would be rather fun to explore a sort of tribal or clan-based community for one of my sonas, not to mention try and give him a little backstory as well in some AU perhaps~?

Either way, here's the spill~...

Ruby here is and has been a forager for his village for quite a while, gathering edibles and giving chase to small to medium prey to bring back home~ As misfortune would have it, he set his sights on what would be a minor deity's next vessel as his prey, and what started as a little mid-day meal turned into a bit of a mix-up! Returning to his village, one of the elders noticed the deity's presence trapped in his belly, rather than in the depicted form that they were told. Putting two and two together, they figured an unwitting forager had gone and gobbled it up by accident! Taking him aside, they painted a series of patterns on his belly to release the spirit to the best of their abilities. While it did work to a degree, the deity is still anchored to his belly unfortunately, which means he's spending portions of time sitting-in for that would-be vessel in ceremonies of many sorts~...

Ruby's a plump sort by nature, and while he's not the best with a blade, he's certainly not the worst~! He keeps a number of small things to assist him in pouches on either side of his belt while holstering his blade on the back of it~ Being a voracious sort, he's no stranger to swallowing things whole, even a whole other wolf if he had to, but he's not aware he's able to push it that far... yet anyway~
