Hanz Hammerkrop has been Malco’s best friend since elementary school. He is basically his second mate and master of the German tongue. They both shared an interest in seeing the world but for different reasons. While Malco had aspirations of living up to his grandfather’s legacy, Hanz had more “personal” ambitions and wanted to create his own legacy and make his own stories. As their friendship grew over time, Hanz slowly began to notice Malco’s shyness around women. So when ever they aren’t adventuring around the world, Hanz takes Malco to certain hotspots on different islands to help him over come his inability to communicate with the the fairer sex. Which would be good if he wasn’t such a horrible teacher.

Personality: In contrast to Malco’s kindness and good nature, Hanz is direct, crass, and at times a bit of a hound dog. When he and Malco are out treasure hunting, Malco is the alpha male. But when they are out on the town, it’s the complete opposite. He is given a complete boost of “confidence” and uses his mastery of the German language as a method of “attracting mates”. The only problem is the only words he knows are not exactly “work safe” leading to more women gravitating towards Malco much to his confusion. Despite that, he and Malco still treat each other like brothers. Malco shows Hanz the beauty of the world, while Hanz shows Malco the benefits of having a social life.
