Unlike the normal High Dragons of his home, Almaritioth was born of the Aether caste, a longer-lived, more prestigious and powerful bloodline that granted him with certain innate advantages over his kin. Besides living hundreds of years longer, his displacement from reality lets him mold his shape and height, appearing in different forms at will.

He does, however, prefer the appearance of a regal dragon and never changes his race, even if theoretically possible. He considers it a badge of honour to wear his scales at all times.
