Niamh is the last surviving daughter of one of the oldest rabbit families on Viridis, and a direct descendant of the founder of the city of Oseille. She is an adventurous sort, considered far too wild and headstrong by most rabbits, though she held in some admiration by younger rabbits as well. She has lived in the city of Oseille all of her life, along with her grandmother and elder half brother. She was the first person to meet Ciara Lohan after the young vixen's flight from the siege of Cearnach ten years ago, and the two of them have been friends since that day. In fact, Niamh fell in love with Ciara almost at once, but it would take her nine years to make her feelings known. They are now married and are quite devoted to one another.

Niamh is an adventurous sort of girl with boundless curiosity and no fear of predators or strangers. She is known to be something of a troublemaker, thanks to her love of pranks and jokes, but this side of her nature is leavened with her generosity and her natural desire to save the world.
