This is Durr. He was once a slacker loser human, who had a run-in with a trickster Fox-Jackaloupe named Jack.

Tricked into signing one of Jack's sketchy contracts, he ended up magically transformed into a large-footed beast of burden. Although most of Jack's victims end up as his simple-minded slaves, Durr retained a bit more of his human intelligence, enough that Jack recognized his potential usefulness. Jack took a liking to Durr, enough that he ended up making the lionsquatch his second-in-command to his schemes.

His real name isn't actually Durr, but that was the pet name given to him by Jack. Jack refuses to call him by anything else, and will cut him off if he tries to tell him his real name.

Although intelligent by lionsquatch standards, Durr is prone to spacing out and forgetting things at crucial moments. He can be playful in private, although he prefers to stay serious when he's around Jack. Jack's sometimes-condescending attitude towards him is his biggest source of irritation.
