ahh but yeah ive actually been working on this on and off for the past few weeks? a longass time idek lmao. i really love her a lot and shes one of my fave characters ive made in a long while, design n characteristics and everything mmhm. even if she is a bit more than self indulgent uhhhhhhh oops
im gunna be adding to this ref sheet in the future when i can, but it probs will be on another account since it might.....not be appropriate........for stuff..................oops
uHM ANYWAYS some info that might be useful:
-she is intelligent to the point of being possibly sentient, though does not speak any quantifiable human language
-her skin is wrinkled and with the thick, silky texture of flower petals
-the first set of limbs have 4 toes per foot, second set has 3 toes per foot, hind limbs have 4 toes per foot
-the undersides of her paws[the pads] are the same white as her stomach
-she is more fit to climbing various rougher surfaces than she is capable of walking/running on flat terrain
-the inside of the three tentacle prongs at the end of the esophageal muscle equate to the tongue/taste buds
-the esophageal muscle is fully extended only during the egg-laying process, otherwise it is retracted within the neck tissue
-the tail petals are fleshy and have similar inner texture to the tongue, and can open up. they are used to carry hatchlings

she is able to register light sensitivity with her skin but relies more on scent and taste, sorta both through her mouth and the petals on her face are like antennae
when moving she is more or less arboreal and the middle set of legs are not used for climbing and more for manipulation of small objects when need be

What does she eat? Small animals? Lost chidren?

AHH, for her own personal nourishment she tends to eat smaller animals that can be swallowed whole. like rabbits n squirrels n stuff. she could technically take something down as big as a cow, but larger animals she tends to only go after as hosts rather than actual prey, unless shes desperate

I love her nips and crazy legs and especially that the ovipositor looks like a stamen?? I don't know if that was intentional or not but its an awesome touch. All the little texture details are super appealing-

AHHH YA, its funny bc like the esophagus part was more or less inspired by otachi from pacific rim bc....her tongue was Really Nice. and uhh, i remember when i first started drawing orchid, her ovipositor looked a tad different at the end, but it just sorta evolved into looking like a stamen, esp like a hibiscus stamen, and i let it happen since the whole flower motif heheh

How does she navigate? (As in echolocation, photoreception, etc)
The middle set of legs don't look very load-bearing. Are they more for balance when climbing?
