Yahto, meaning "blue", was named for the color of his eyes, though he does dislike the name to some degree. He is effectively the inverse of Yiska. Where Yiska is outwardly cold and detached, Yahto attempts to be outgoing towards most people, including acquaintances. He often comes off as being somewhat shy and a little timid, though he is very friendly and quick to smile or share a laugh. His life is rather average by any standard. He grew up in a small town set at the base of a mountain range, having lived there most of his life. Despite his good nature, he is very insecure and has little in the way of self confidence, even though he is at least partially successful in most of his endeavors. He is painfully awkward around role models and those whom he admires, women in particular. He enjoys socializing with small groups of friends, but also appreciates time to sit back and relax. Yahto often acts impulsively, which has put him in a few vulnerable situations in the past. Similarly to Yiska, he strongly dislikes dishonesty. While Yiska would be likely to confront someone on the issue, Yahto will typically just ignore it or change the topic. Yahto is very slow to anger, albeit not very patient. He has a bad habit of getting easily flustered or frustrated when something doesn't work out perfectly or complications arise, resulting in the temporary abandonment of the task until he has regained his composure.

His behavior around those he trusts is even more outgoing than when in the presence of strangers. He strives to make others happy, often making jokes or otherwise acting silly to pass the time. He is mildly computer savvy, and plays a number of online games in addition to being an avid reader. Though he is not particularly athletic, he possesses a deep appreciation of nature, and is often found exploring off the beaten path and taking in the scenery. He is very cold natured, preferring snowy mountain regions to flatter, more temperate areas.

Yiska's fur is very thick. fluffy, and soft, effectively acting as a permanent winter coat. His fur pattern is very simple and natural. Most of his coat is a mid to light brown, with darker socks and gloves. His belly, cheeks, muzzle, tail tip, and blaze are all a light cream color. He is not very fit or muscular, appearing slightly overweight. His strength is average, and his vision is mediocre, but his hearing and sense of smell exceed the abilities of most. His tail is easily his most distinguishing feature, being exceptionally fluffy and extending well past his feet. This causes him a good bit of annoyance, as he always has to be mindful not to get it caught in things and to avoid knocking things over. When standing still for extended periods of time, he will encircle his ankles and lower legs with his tail.
