Edge Phoenix, also known as Edge Kitsune or just Edge, is a child of both magic and technology. Born to a Thai ridgeback who dallied with a kitsune of phoenix descent, Edge inherited healing powers from his father: healing powers which destined him for a military career.

For reasons that are still classified, Edge was subjected to a series of experiments that altered his genome and combined his morphology with that of a leaf-nosed bat. This slightly enhanced his senses of smell and hearing, weakened his eyesight, and completely banjaxed his ability to get around. His forelegs developed into sturdy, functional wings, but his ability to achieve powered flight was compromised by his complete inability to walk or climb, or locomote at all except by rolling around like a landed catfish.

Once he was discharged from service, Edge immediately sued, and used the settlement to have a pair of cybernetic forelegs built to replace the ones that had become non-functional. He also started to get into body modification, and discovered a kinship with the diehard Goth crowd. Currently working on his apprenticeship to become a tattoo artist, he also DJs at a Goth club under the name Crypthowl Moongrasp.

He likes mean people, large crowds, hanging out in graveyards and posing for photographs, males who shave their legs, females who are into blood-drinking, silver, thinking about death, and collecting antique embalming tools.

He doesn't like intact males, nature, flying, ravers, or the taste of mangoes. Or gold jewelry, except for the oversized ankh he got at C* one year.

Alternate origin story: somewhere, a quasi-furry artist put a bunch of values into a random number generator, and drew whatever unholy combination came out: in this case: Thai ridgeback, leaf-nosed bat, kitsune, cyberpunk, goth.

And yet something is still missing. Wait, I know what it is: ORIGONAL CARACHTER: DO NOT STEEL

I love the muddy mottled colouring, like a 10th-gen Wajas

    I...actually really like this????

Hahaha. Yeah, me too. Whenever I try to do outlandish parody, I always end up in homage-land instead. Thing is, I really, really do like creating random characters, and scenewolves/sparkledogs are great because there's just no obligation to ever do anything with them.

I don't know what "scene" means, but I love this guy.
