Mata is a critter I see in my dreams. At first he did not have a name but then I saw a dream where, for some reason or another, I was able to hear name Mattara or Metaron. Because I wasn't that sure which one of it it was, I came up with "Mata" and I have been calling him with that name if I have to talk about something that is related to him.
Usually I see dreams of him if I am sick or weak in some other way than physically.He is always there to tell me mean things about myself or is just staring at me. I think he is trying to tell me what I need to do to change something that makes me sick, but ways he does it, aren't really that encouraging.
Once I saw a dream, where Mata was eating me while I was watching it and I even enjoyed it in that dream. Then again, now that I think about it - it really makes me sick.

This is a really beautiful character, and one of a brooding concept. But it seems that it may not be so much a concept as it might be a thing of personal woes.
In any case, it's very interesting. :)
