Railerat

Name:
Eliza
Age:
46
Gender:
Female
Species:
Centaur

Sorry for the lack of colour, I couldn't find the coloured picture of her. This is another Mythica character.

Eliza is a middle-aged palomino centaur with pale blond hair and sombre grey eyes. She wears a lot of purple. Eliza is a native of Ca, the country mentioned in Kair's profile--the one in the middle of a long and violent civil war. Before the war, Eliza was a technical writer, and she technically still is. But.

Eliza was quite sick when she was young, and she was treated as fragile for a sizeable chunk of her childhood. This may have contributed to her much more fragile appearance compared to her sister Rosa. Ironically, she is perhaps the more robust one--certainly so in terms of cause and will.

She is a widow, and had one son with her husband, who joined the war effort and was killed. Her son also joined, and also died.

Perhaps this is why Eliza joined the resistance group, determined to push the LAC (the liberation army attempting to manage things) out for good--more on the LAC next upload, I promise. She works in the book shop that doubles as a front for certain local operations, but behind the scenes, she's doing a lot more than book selling.

Eliza, thanks to her age, gender, and retiring, conservative manner, serves as the perfect information smuggler... information sand explosives, that is which she sneaks across checkpoints, sometimes right beneath her coat (not pictured here--imagine a knitted horse blanket.) Eliza is often the one to do the final deed as well... for the most part, she's escaped suspicion so far, but she does not expect that to last.

She does not expect to survive the war.

She's a bit of a wilting lily, and if it weren't for her very determined outlook, she seems like she could very easily fall into depression. This may or may not be deceptive. As it is, she's more or less been in a state of latent mourning for a couple of years now, so that's probably not normal.

In the end, her biggest regret in life may be that she didn't try harder to stop her husband from going to war. But then, she doesn't really blame him, really. Perhaps she regrets not joining the army at the time too. But she had their son to take care of. And then he went...

Now she smuggles dangerous incendiaries, plants explosives, and jumps barricades like an athlete.

Not quite the usual midlife renaissance she'd been looking forward to ten years ago.
