TsaoShin haunts the east mountains preying on anyone foolish enough to travel untrodden paths in his territory. He is a scourge and persistent threat that keeps the rugged terrain wild and untamed. His motivations are unclear as his attacks are not consistent or predictable. His chilling howl can often be heard in the distance beyond the borders of the surrounding towns - a reminder of his rulership of the cold lands.

Many legends exist of his history but none are reliable due to the mostly oral traditions of record keeping practiced in the eastern mountain villages. It is widely believed that TsaoShin was once a World Builder (a type of human demi-god that act as stewards to nature) who fell victim to a possession by a daemon. The result was the horrid disfigured being that was neither human or daemon in either body or mind. He is widely considered a nature dragon.

TsaoShin is seen mostly on all fours but has been known to walk on his hind legs giving him an imposing height. His head is adorned with crimson horns and draped with long heavy white hair. His attacks are mostly blunt force ramming and slashing with his forelimbs, head, and tail. Magical attacks come from within the inner mouth and are all ice magic. The markings along his body appear to glow faintly when he uses any magic.
