I wanted a monster-thing, so I made one... XD

I'm thinking shi lives in a post-apocalyptic environment where humans have practically destroyed themselves.
Their kind created to fight human battles for them but were too intelligent and super adaptive.

Even though shi has gone through so much, bred to be a fearless warrior, and has been through so much trauma, this specific being is not inherently viscous or volatile.

In fact, unless provoked, this being is fairly docile.

However, I wouldn't recommend makeing hir mad... >.>

intersex would be their sex, not their gender. other than that i really like this design. really rad <3

Correct! But in the character options when submitting to Weasyl there wasn't a "sex" option so....:/ (they should really get one!)

    • Link

BUT- Since I am really the LAST person who wants to be insensitive about these things, I can at least change the description on the image itself. (Can't do anything about the Weasyl input stuff though.. sorry!)

it's alright! i appreciate you taking the time to correct it, i hope they improve their options soon >_>

          You're very welcome!
Also,I absolutely agree and hope they do add options for gender and sex on their character submissions! :)

What an incredible character. I love the concept of the arms being able to materialize if they focus. I've never see anything so original when it comes to the design and species idea.
As for the art itself, I really like how you've used a nice brush to paint the muscles of the phantom arms. It looks nearly like it's made of smoke.

Great job. I really love your art, friend.

WOW! What an amazing comment/compliment! THank you so very much! wow! I'm flattered! I was worried at first of this character being a bit too strange but you've really helped me feel much better about it! THANK YOU! You're so kind!

::bows deeply:: Thank you very very much!

This is SO neat! I was watching a documentary about wild pigs and how crazy adaptable they are the other day, I love how much thought you put into this <3

    • Link

REALLY?! How funny is that!! I wouldn't mind seeing that documentary now! haha! :D

      • Link

It's on Netflix, I think it was called Hog Wild

  • Link

Oh man oh man, this is a really amazing character concept! gosh dang. I like how the arms aren't just "ooo ghostly arms" they look like whispy muscles and nerves and the /idea/ of arms. really different!

    • Link

GOSH THANK YOU!! That means a lot! Especially since your own representation is one of the MOST UNIQUE I HAVE EVER SEEN EVER! <3

      • Link

gentle screeching oh gosh thank you

(also the "edible" part is mildly horrifying. I'm sure it's more than mildly horrifying for Solace though)

        • Link

(oh my gosh yes, that was the general idea...kinda..very horrifying! )Can you imagine? The idea of after a battle, the humans coming in to collect the bodies to uhm...process..)

I got this idea because I was watching a WWII documentary while eating bacon. >.<
I'm not proud of it but I thought it would make a more interesting being than "oh they're just a manpig" XD

    What an absolutely fascinating design!

    • Link

Thank you Lokilover, I really appreciate it! :D

  • Link

The idea of a soldier engineered to be edible in a post-apocalyptic world is horrifying; I love it. :D

    those little hoofy feeeeet!

    • Link

      HA!! You noticed!!
It IS absolutely terrifying to me too.
Which is why... I could see some people doing this. :(
Like..."..we have people dying of hunger and we still fight wars. I KNOW make the collateral damage edible!"

Which from this beings perspective has got to be horrifying.

      <3 weird tiny hoofs
