She is sometimes referred to as a "scorgi" as she actually has a wee bit of dragon in her pedigree. The partial dragon heritage means she does have latent shapeshifting abilities but they are limited - she can not change her colors or pattern, can barely change her size, and cannot obtain any new capabilities (ex. fire breath) from the transformation. As Splash ages this ability has been used less and less so her ability to use it (or even remember she has it) has waned.
