Bethany Ting, prefers just 'Ting', is a California runaway and the unwanted offspring of her white mother and Chinese father. Train hopping brought this young lady into the Western territories and no word on how she became effected with mutation. Taking on the form of a California newt leaves her dependant on many canteens to keep her skin with enough moisture. Only a handful of years older than Chad, she is the second youngest in the quartet of Chuck's underlings.

Raised by her aunt, Ting has no oriental accent and speaks fluently in English. She's both sly and quick of wit, which makes her a valuable tool for siphoning information valuable to the gang.
