Music Box is a kind cave-dwelling monster who is an avid collector of music boxes. She is a lover of music in general and her dwelling is littered with things that make noise (stringed instruments, chimes, etc.). She also loves candles and lanterns, while even though she can see perfectly well in the dark, she knows that part of her cave is a passage through a mountain and she will help lost travelers if she comes across any. She doesn't expect anything in return for her help, but since beginning this trend, often times travelers will bring some sort of token for her, often times a music box or other music-making apparatus. Because of this, rumors have sprung that she will eat those who don't offer gifts in exchange for her help, but it couldn't be further from the truth.

She subsists on a diet of largely whatever she finds in the cave, be it insects, mushrooms, bats, etc. She will sometimes venture out of the cave to munch on sweet berries. A visitor once shared with her a piece of bread, and she has been hooked ever since.
