[Suketchi] Specs, more commonly known as just "Mutt" among friends, is really just fuzzy-me and doesn't have a real narrative background. She began as my character for a planned webcomic about the everyday antics of me and my friends in art school. (It never happened, lol.) I suppose that makes her an artist like myself. So she's a freelance artist with geeky hobbies like gaming and cosplay, I guess. Her antics mimic my own.

Specs isn't particularly a hybrid-anything as she may seem, just a jumble of traits from some favorite animals of mine. Her current cocktail is probably Canadian lynx, ringtailed lemur, and a non-distinct bat species. "Mutt" is probably misleading... as there isn't much canine about her at all. I suppose her natural behaviour would be somewhere between feline and primate-- social yet independent. She's an arboreal creature that likes to perch and nest in odd places... like piles of pillows. Quite omnivorous and loves fruit, poultry, and pancakes. I may better define the "Mutt" species someday, but I've never felt the need to unless I give Specs some kind of continuity.
On the topic of continuity; Specs used to have a long, fox-like striped tail. It was cropped in some [so-far unnamed] incident and is now bobbed like a lynx's. It was merely symbolic of some personal things that happened in my past, but it did affect Specs as a character.

As a character, she is pretty low key in most cases. The paradoxical social introvert, she is far more interested in intelligent, meaningful conversation than flighty small talk or the like. Curious and creative, she seems to be pretty easygoing and agreeable... until you cross her, of course. Having had to deal most of her life with being a small and unusual creature, she developed quite the "tiny-dog complex." As in; she may not be a very intimidating little thing physically, but the HUGE attitude makes up for it.
