Rikyuu Quartz

Project_X

Name:
Rikyuu Quartz
Age:
20
Gender:
Male
Height:
4'1"
Weight:
80 Pounds
Species:
Floatzel

Moves known: Sonic Boom, Water Pulse, Aqua Jet, Crunch, Surf, Hydro Pump

Move alterations/abilities:

Water Pulse Control: The speed of the water pulse can be controlled to be launched as fast as a dead sprint or as slow as a casual walk. Speed cannot be controlled further once launched. Water Pulse can also be charged to do more damage or launched prematurely to do less. The larger the water pulse, the slower it will be.

Sonic Boom: Performed with arm fins majority of the time instead of tail, however can be still used with the tail.

Double Sonic Boom: Performed by hurling two Sonic Booms at the same time and into each other, causing them to spin (Yes, like Guile)

Aquatic Crusher: Performed by using ramming into a Water Pulse with an Aqua Jet, causing the Water Pulse to blast off at the same speed. And you know what they say..the faster you hit water...

Shock Absorb/Deflect: Rikyuu can use his flotation sac to cushion falls, block most blunt attacks, and deflect blunt, non contact explosive projectiles.

Rotor Flight: Rikyuu's tails are a bit abnormally long and he can spin his tails fast enough to fly. However he cannot use the attack fly as flight is largely vertical. And since his tails act like rotor blades, that means his flight pattern is quite delicate...There are three methods of flight: Heli, Reverse Heli, and Zeppelin. Heli is what you would expect to see. He leans over and flies with his tails spinning above him. Reverse Heli is when he flies with his tails below him, often used to prevent hard falls or take off directly upward quickly (as his horizontal control is drastically cut at the benefit of increased lift). And with Zeppelin, often for extended flight, he can intake helium or hydrogen and divert the gas straight to his floatation sack and use to to stay airborne almost indefinitely. His tails are used for propulsion and steering. This style is almost never used as it is honestly almost never needed thanks to the use of airships in his world.

Rikyuu is a Gold Class hunter for the Seaside Town Guild in the Terra Nova territory, however not a very well known Gold Class member. With him being in the middle of the scale (Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Legendary), he it's easy to be overlooked, which he despises. Because of this form of 'little man syndrome', he occasionally takes on jobs and criminals that are a bit too difficult for him to do. It is only the rare occasion that he succeeds and gains his day of glory, only for things to go quiet for him the following day.

So one day Rikyuu got sick of being ignored and decided to take on a 5-Star level criminal job, which is the most dangerous. It is almost required to have a team as often times it is a team of criminals or an organization. The mission Rikyuu chose was to take in a wanted thief, a Flygon named Kaida. When he took the job on and confronted Kaida, she didn't take him seriously, which of course provoked him to attack. After so many tries to inflict damage on Kaida with little success, Rikyuu simply gave up and submitted to her. However what he didn't expect was that Kaida's status as a thief was more or less a misunderstanding of her more "Robin Hood" doctrine of stealing form the rich or corrupt and giving to the poor. Seeing opportunity to trick Kaida into coming to the guild with him to "use her powers for good", he lead her back to Seaside Town and to the guild to present her to the Guildmaster, a Typhlosion named Rex. After pleading her case and displaying her evidence by showing where she was stealing from, Rex decided to simply put her on a temporary probation period as a member of the guild. Should she adhere to the terms he placed for her, she would be pardoned of all of her offenses and the probationary period would count as Rehabilitation. Not only did Kaida succeed, but she blew away the expectations of everyone there by gaining Diamond Class in two short years. She and Rikyuu grew to be friends, even though Rikyuu may be bitter with her "stealing his glory" by dodging an official capture and outperforming everything he did by a country mile. So they're more or less rival friends!

Ever since then, they've gone on many adventures together in which they have and will continue to meet new friends as well as new enemies in the world of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon V!
