Piscaw is a hyena/wolf/parrot hybrid who somehow wound up in the African savannah. He doesn't really wonder about where he came from, nor does he see himself differently from the other animals, convinced that he simply had to spread his wings at an earlier age. He lives a solitary life, so he keeps himself occupied with little games that sprout from his never ending imagination. His favorite is to chase grasshoppers.

He has a strange diet, mostly consisting of fruits, vegetables, nuts, some insects. He lives by the saying, "Don't eat a dead horse." (Though it's actually beat...) and refuses to scavenge. Piscaw is too nervous to eat grass, especially since he doesn't quite remember where every animal takes their potty breaks. Although he doesn't enjoy eating bugs, most are annoying and crunchy, thus deserving their fate. Fruits, vegetables, and nuts are a rare find for Piscaw, and he will eat these with little protest. Otherwise, he hardly eats.
